I love this conversation so much and it's so meaningful to see your friendship and reflection/archiving of your musician journeys. I started listening to you both in that 2009-2011 period of time and haven't actually processed how long it's been (lol) but it is so cool, and admirable, and inspiring, and your conversation reminds me how central friendship and support networks are to the function of art as work. Also wow I love that you brought up Resma's book!! Vagus! Thank you both for making music that has meant a lot to me over the years. <3
It is worth so so much. We need the artists and the soundtracks to the big and small moments of our life. The art creates words to feelings many of us cannot reach or articulate. I know it’s not enough to fulfill you at all times, but thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to go when you doubted yourself or felt like it was unnecessary. 🩷
