Hello out there.
This will be the last single released before the album comes out October 30th. It features one of my favorite guitarists and producers working today, Adrian Quesada. (If you haven’t yet, please listen to his 2022 album Boleros Psicodélicos, one of my favorite albums in recent years.) I recorded NNLL at Adrian’s studio Electric Deluxe in Austin, Texas. After I got a better idea of what the song would be I invited Adrian to come on board and weave his playing so beautifully in with mine. I love his tone and his rhythm and feel, and I love his decision making.
This song was an intense and liberatory one to write. I plan on it being my last dad song ever. I’ll share more about it in my next correspondence broadcast forthwith.
