Drumming has Begun

Hi all!

Very excited to report that I have three new songs that are far along and structured enough to get some initial drum tracking in with friend and long time drummer Jason Slota. Slotes (one of his stage names) played drums on We The Common, A Man Alive, and Temple, and has toured a ton with me since 2012. He is a joy to play with and to watch play.

Below is a portion of a song that I’ve tentatively titled “Find A God.” Working titles typically just come from the one line I’ve come up with by file naming time. You can’t hear my guitar because it was only going through our headphones but just know I was totally shredding :) You will hear more of the melodic and chordal elements of this song and aforementioned others in subsequent posts.

One item worthy of note for me in my review of the clip: I couldn’t help but shimmy a bit. Always a good sign.
